Ouissem Moalla (b. 1990 in Stockholm) is a graduate of the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (2015) and now lives and works in Mulhouse.
Through predominantly performative works, his artistic approach draws on theoretical research into imagery, as well as historical and anthropological analyses of cultural hybridization.
His work has been featured in group exhibitions, including at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Mulhouse (2014) and the INACT Festival in Strasbourg (2019). In 2018, he presented the performance Monkey following a residency in Tokyo with Motoco&Co, and more recently, the project Impressions d’Espaces as part of his residency at Villa Salammbô with the Institut Français of Tunisia (2024). In 2023, he was selected for an exchange programme between the CEAAC (France) and basis e.V. in Germany, where he spent three months in Frankfurt and debuted his project Clavis Tabula.
