A graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’art et de design in Nancy (2007) and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin (2009), Marianne Marić (b. 1982) lives and works in Mulhouse and Strasbourg.
Her work has been shown in group and solo exhibitions in France and abroad, including Photo London (2022), Paris Photo and No Found Photo Fair (2021), Fondation François Schneider in Wattwiller (2021), Filature in Mulhouse (2020), Landskrona Foto Festival (2018), MO.CO. Panacée in Montpellier (2019), Athens Biennial (2018), Duplex100m2 gallery in Sarajevo, Villa Noailles in Hyères and CAC Brétigny (2014). Her Lamp-girls have been presented by Nick Knight’s legendary SHOWstudio in London and at Palais Galliera – Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. In 2019, she was the guest of honour of the Festival Internacional de Fotografía de Valparaíso (Chile). She completed residencies at Atelier Mondial in Berlin in 2016, Ateliers des Arques in 2015, and in Sarajevo on several occasions between 2012 and 2022 thanks to the support of Drac Grand Est and CAC Brétigny. Her photographs have been published in Reporters sans frontières, artpress and The New York Times, among others.
Marianne Marić is the 2022 laureate of the Strasbourg <> Budapest residency programme.
