Graduates of Haute .cole des arts du Rhin (HEAR) and the Acad.mie des Beaux-Arts de Vienne, Clémence Choquet & Mickaël Gamio have formed since 2014 the duo comma, the word in English and German for the punctuation marking a brief pause in a spoken phrase, and in musicology, an interval involved in the instrument tuning process.
The artists’ practice is focused on the study of the earth’s surface, the earthquakes that shake our (architectural and social) constructions, imagination linked to territory, and, metaphorically, the foundation of our physical and psychic structures.
